What the heck is this stuff??? was created by M Bailey
My 416-8 blew a rear tire last week and was leaking some brown, rusty liquid, I thought the rim was rusted out due to the amount of nasty, rusty juice flowing out of the tire.
Pulled the tires and this is what I found on both.
Never seen anything like it and believe it or not, they cleaned up with a garden hose!!!
Here's what they look like with a coat of Jasco Prep - Primer

Some kind of fix a flat stuff. I hate it when I'm putting new tires on and get surprised by that stuff and it's happened plenty of times over the years.

You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink.

There was about half a gallon of this stuff in each wheel, makes me wonder if they had been filled at some point??

Some people go crazy with the flat fixing stuff, If they had been filled there should be evidence of it leaking out somewhere.
