Brake Lines

Had a rubber brake line weeping on my new to me truck and decided to replace it today..... what a fiasco. The line in question was the flex line to the rear wheels. When removing said line all of the steel lines attached to it twisted off creating a real mess. 25' of brake line and 6 fittings later all is good with the exception of my back and knees. What a pain. The only thing that made the job easier was the Cal-Van inline double flaring tool, it really works!

Been there done that and it was metric to boot. I will get a double flaring tool if I do another one. My single flare repair is still holding up.

The tool is the only way to go. Did you buy a roll of line and make your own?

Yes, I use bulk line and try to reuse the fittings, in this case all but the one on the ABS block, were trashed.
