The latest pegboard hooks are put up and I got a start on one of the totes full of fastener stuff my DM friend gave me. I'm trying to just get them in the rivet rack bins according to fastener type for now like bolts, nuts, washers, lag screws, carriage bolts, cutters, etc. There's a lot more stuff in them than I thought but 1 is almost done and only 3 more to go. I thought some regular carts would do it but I need to switch over to some of the 4 foot rolling shelves, I had no idea there were so many different things in these and I haven't even finished the 1st one yet.

The first 3 truckloads were here early this morning and we've been going all day, it looked like Fastenal central up here. Most everything is here minus the pallet racking + cross beams, the metal small parts cabinets and 12-1500 blue bins that are at the local store being emptied and inventoried. There are some other small things but that stuff will trickle in as they get things done. I especially like my new WH red chair that was in the mix lol.

The rest of today is gonna be making some racks to hold all of these crossbeams and such that I can move around with the forklift so I can get the knockdowns back to Fastenal and get my shop back.

My friend Kevin was only a few miles from where the racks were so I went over to his place to visit him and his wife and see the mini farm they have there that I've been wanting to see for a long time. I was gone most of the day and didn't get home until about 10pm, it's a wonder someone didn't call out the troops to find me because everyone knows I'm always here lol.
Now back to cleaning up this mess and getting the shop back.

I got 5 of the knockdowns emptied today, only 1 more to go, for now... There are over 500 gray crossbeams on the 1 rack right now, and prob 4-500 more scattered around here that I can't get to yet. I want to keep the gray and blue ones separate somehow, may put a shelf in the one rack or something, not sure yet. I got a rack started with the blue bin wire racking and will try to get that rounded up from all over the place next, there's a lot of it out in the 4 car garage that's been out there since the parts dept redo last year too... The good news is the new uprights sure do hold a lot of stuff and will end up making a lot of floor space in the end.

Yesterday was a day of massive moving and reorganizing. Good news is like the wire racks, all of the cross beams scattered all over are out and getting put on a holding rack today. There is also a few pallets in here that are getting cut down to 4' x 4' and more boards added to hold the wood shelves so they won't warp. All of the pegboard and misc hooks are organized, the other garage has a lot of room for the new holding racks, and everything is working out better and faster than I thought.
I have to get a move on and try to get most of this moved by the end of this week so I can start on doing the plumbing, wiring, inside walls, etc inside of dad's new barn next week that Morton started on day before yesterday. Like I said before, one project gets sorta done and another is right on it's heels... I need a vacation.
I'll start a post on here today on the barn progress, I went over and snapped some pics last night.
