Grandpa Pearson's B-80 refresh was created by Geno
Ben had his grandpa's B-80 on Jason's FB site for sale, but there was a catch. It had to go to someone who would restore it and keep the tractor going. We wanted to see it keep going as much as he did so the deal was made. His grandpa Richard worked as a mechanic in a Wheel Horse Dealership and bought it new in 75 along with a blade, deck, and wagon. The tractor was still pushing snow last Winter and is in excellent mechanical shape. We picked it up on July 21 and got it cleaned up and ready for the blaster today.
We're going to move it up in the lineup so this topic doesn't go on too long, we'll get started on it next week. Everything is here for it including the new decal set.
This one may get a few extra pics as it goes along because Ben and his grandpa will be following this topic to watch it as it is redone, Ben is a member already. First pic is grandpa with his baby after it was loaded up, the rest are what was done to it today.

We are so happy to see our baby getting the love and care she deserves! Grandpa has been a very proud owner since the day she came off the showroom floor. She mowed until the day Gene came and got her. We had our whole family take their picture with her before she left. Gene is such a good friend and we appreciate him to no end. Thank you for doing right by her, Gene!!

We got a little welding, grinding, dent removal and blasting done today.
So far from what is blasted we're not finding any rust on this tractor at all. The rear of the seat pan straightened out so well we decided to save it even though it had some cracks that were already welded up. We did a little extra welding and grinding and it should look good when finished, especially with the seat bolted directly to the pan. Gotta save everything you can that they don't make anymore you know...
We changed a front tire so it would match and got started on removing the dents from the hood. Hopefully it will turn out ace nice as the rear pan but it will take several hours. That's the news for today.
