Robert's 314-8 was created by Geno
This is an 85, the first and only early year 314 until they brought them back to replace the 414 years down the road. Robert's dad bought it new, Robert has had it about 20 years and it has been taken really good care of.
The blade is getting restored, valves adjusted, a little steering work, and a few other odds and ends.
Spent a lot of time getting the frozen up blade apart but it is all apart and blasted minus the main frame. I thought I would get into the motor today but time disappeared, it does that when you get old lol..

You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink.

A testament to the owners, and what a well maintained engine should look like inside after 32 years of use. It looks better than the pics to the naked eye, the block is just a shiny cast iron color.

Are you working on the engine and what are you doing to it?
Me asking cause I still have a miss every now and then.

Just in the cover to adjust the valves, she has some ticking noise, will also adjust the carb, that's about it for the engine.

I wouldn't mess with them unless you hear noise, this one was pretty noisy but no miss, most of the noise was from the intake valve, it was way off.
Been making all the vehicles go away today, got the lawn mowed, valves are set, and the covers are blasted and ready to put back on. I don't know why but most of them are rusty between the gaskets but it's easy to make them good as new.

Thanks Nappy. The Caddy left last Friday good as new.
The valves are done, engine is nice and quiet. Carb is set, steering is all adjusted, and plow is all ready for paint. Going out to paint it now.
