New Welding Table was created by Geno
This is where I've been hiding the past week. Countless hours of cutting and welding till bedtime in this little monster but it's gonna be a nice piece to have in the shop. It's a little short in the pics but I have 6" tall wheels that go on it, then it will be level with the other big one.
Sides are hinged with grease fittings, foldable and removable. Nothing will be mounted on the top of this one. I'm still waiting on some more 2 1/2" x 1/4" square tubing to put 8 mounts around the top like the other big one has so stuff can be slid into the tubes when needed. When that is done a vise, seats, grinder, etc will just slide into the tubes and lock like the side wings do.
Table is 5' x 5', wings are 4' wide 18" deep.
Tomorrow is painting day and it should be rolling around in a day or two.

It may get some paint tonight. There was still a lot of cleanup and deburring to do but it just got done, I think lol.
I also got some pics of how simple the hinging system is when it's apart. The hinges just slide out of the bushings once the wing is out, no tools necessary.

The shelf grating, the hardest part is painted.
The shop and store orders have been going crazy so I'll prob do all of the black today and the red on Monday. Spring has sprung, it's 80 degrees here now, bring on the warm!

Where are you going to find room for the extra table, or did you sell the other.

I prob won't sell the other, I use it a lot and have a new 5x10x1/2 steel top for it. This one was made with the folding wings to take up less space in the shop when need be, and so I can roll it outside to enjoy the weather when working sometimes. I sold a few tractors and will be doing a little more rearranging soon, there is a little more room in the shop now.

Don't you need a welder to build a welding table?
