Kohler parts questions was created by Geno
I need some info from the experts.
I have to place an opening order with Kohler to send along with the Dealer paperwork and wondered what Kohler parts do you guys use the most? It can be either because you like them best, or if it is a have to situation because that's all that's available.
I'll start a partial list here of what I know of and add to it later - If these items below can be bought at a better price in another good quality brand please let me know. Thanks all.
Points
Point cover gaskets
Camshaft cover gaskets
Oil pan gaskets
Head gaskets

Can the carb mount gaskets be found anywhere else Bob? They're pretty expensive through Kohler.

Will take a look at air, but I don't think I have a Kohler engine in the shop with an oil filter.

How about starter/starter parts, internal parts (piston, rod, rings, etc.) You could probably get if you want coils, wires, points, stater. I'll see if I can think of anything else.
