Yep...I am gonna need to enroll in this course after my bout with the 312-8 this afternoon. She still had her snow suit on, and well...it looks like we either need scuba attachments with outboard motor hookups, or more appropriately a side discharge deck. 10 minutes I spent trying to figure out why this thing wouldn't cut any grass
I'll just let this one die out on its own, and ask your humble forgiveness as a community.

You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink.

Geno, there seems to be some sort of extra little device attached to the front of that shiny ole tractor you have there...what does THAT do for you? WOW! I'm gonna have to get ME one of those Looks great Geno...love how it turned out!
Pappy...I would have been too ashamed to call anyone over this. LOL, I can say that I was entertaining the baby girl as I was working on getting this thing "summerized" so I guess I have a LITTLE bit of an excuse. Oh well...first time it's happened

So the other day I went back out to work on the 66 Lawn Ranger. I had the engine running decent the day before to the point where I could start it up every time but I knew something wasn't just right yet (still isn't). The carb needed some final tuning, so out I went.
And of course the thing wont start for nothing. Tried everything I could think of for which had to be the better part 30 minutes. Even ripped a battery out of another tractor because the one in it was getting weak from multiple unsuccessful tries. Now, I'm livid and ready to sell the thing. After 10 minutes of cooling down, I go back out to the tractor only to find out I never turned the fuel shutoff valve on. Sure enough it started right up. Amazing what happens when you add fuel to the mix.. SMH (shaking my head)
