We started on this one yesterday afternoon. The first pic is of it is when it was pressure washed last year, the rest of the pics are from yesterday afternoon. Clint got a lot of it blasted yesterday and if all goes well we may get most of it ready for paint today or tomorrow.

We didn't get as much done as we wanted to yesterday, it was wild with phone calls, store orders, a customer pickup, and sorting out a custom tractor build, which by the way is this one lol.
Clint got more things blasted, and this one got all of the attachment, PTO, and lift components removed yesterday for more of a tractor look when it's done. This one will be a worker but all the work it will be doing is pulling things.
I even got a few pics of Clint the Master Blaster at work at the blaster...

This mornings job was some extra pressure washing after more parts were removed yesterday. Now it's time to cover up some things in the shop and get ready for some painting.

Things just won't let up around here and we find ourselves saying oh crap it's 7pm (or later) every day. Pics get taken every day it's just when we notice the time we're ready to get outta here and run for supper lol.
I think Clint got most of these parts blasted last Sat and yesterday.

The wheels, tires, mounting them, axle seals, changing fluids, blocking off the lift handle hole, and some assy was done yesterday.
The days all seem to be running together here lately so I'm not positive on what days we did everything else lol.

I've always wondered why the dash tower on the black hoods was so smooth and looked like it had a ton of paint on it... It's because it does. Evidently the paint was gobbed on these to cover all of the imperfections in the aluminum, and the mold and grinding marks. We have about 6 hours invested in this piece so far and we learned something new, scuff them, spot putty them and paint them. We will never attempt to strip one again.
A ton of time was spent just smoothing it out and re profiling it. It still needs a little more work, then have a DA run over it with 320 grit and it should be the smoothest one on the planet lol.
OCD can be a killer...

All painting is done now minus the hood and rear fender pan. The dash tower turned out really nice but it had about 7 hours put into it. The DA with 320 grit smoothed it out super nice. Tomorrow we can start on putting a lot of things on it, cables, switch, rewiring, etc now that the dash tower is done.
