You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink.

My father has always liked my Wheel Horse tractors, but has never owned one. Between us, we have about ten Craftsman and John Deere, and of course my small collection of tractors. He always mentioned I should "try and find him one." Decided to drive a little with him yesterday, and partake of his request. Congrats to my father, and my friend. He is enjoying his new toy. Now I need to find another low hour tractor for my 83 year old neighbor. He has been asking for one as well. The one pictured has 324 hours and is a 1996 312-8. Clean as a pin, cuts fairly well but not as well as we would like. Have to get on that right away. Also needs a drive belt...takes the clutch about 20 feet to get her up and going, and it catches all the way at the top :smile2

Thanks Geno...I am not actually familiar with specs for clutch adjustment. Have always been fortunate and never really needed it. Go figure this one is the lowest hour 312 machine I have ever purchased, and it's the only one with a burnt out headlight, slipping drive belt and so forth. Not a bad machine, and is extremely clean, but has a few items needing addressed. Any idea where I can buy a set of these headlights? Are they common to auto parts stores, or perhaps unique? Thanks!

:help :thumb Thanks so much, Geno! I have never replaced one of the headlights before, and I'm delighted to hear they aren't special. GT, dad really likes the unit. Truthfully, he really wanted a hydro for a bit more ground speed potential, but he and I both like clean machines, and this one was just too much to turn down. He is putting some new blades on it before using it again, and I am pretty sure we need a new drive belt to make her a little better to use.
