What I've been building was created by Bert
I've wanted more space for awhile so I decided to build what I'd consider my ideal short frame to fit my needs.
Then let some go.
I'll try to keep this short
The goal was stability, traction, headlights and to not cut up parts in the process.
I went with an eight horse kohler, 8 pinion 8 speed and sheet metal from a workhorse 700.
The workhorse had the hole for the dipstick and the cutout for the high-low shifter also wider fenders and a headlight cutout. I used a NOS trans pulley from an 867 and the brake linkage from a 14 8 no name.
Still a work in progress.

Then I gotta deal with the muffler, not a big fan of pepper shaker type cans
Once those issues are sorted it's on to paint for the tractor, deck, sickle mower, and front blade. Still deciding on front tires as well?
It'll be slow progress but I think the end result will be worth it

I have a nice headlight bucket and new lense also a good tail light from a C 160. I need to figure out what dash and light switch to use.Geno wrote: What else you gonna do to her Bert?
