Thermostats you may like was created by Geno
We have these thermostats in the house and shop that are just awesome. Thought you guys may want to give one a try.
I got mine off of eBay for 184.00 here - Thermostat It may seem expensive at first but it will pay for itself the first Winter. The main reason I bought them is you can set them up the way you want. I have it to where the aux heat (coils) can't come on until the temp drops at least 10 degrees, or you have to turn it up over 10 degrees. If you turn it up over a few degrees normal thermostats turn on the coils, that's where the real money goes. If you turn this one up 10 degrees the coils don't come on, whether you do it manually or you have it on a program.
It also keep track of run times, and does lots of other things. You can also control it from your computer, tablet or smart phone from anywhere. I turn up the one in the house from the shop before we go in. I turn up the one in the shop sitting here at the computer every morning.

I'm just hoping one of them doesn't get mad and freeze us to death.

Those look super nice!
I personally use the Nest. It has many of the same functions.

I looked at those AJ, they're really cool too. I picked the Venstar mainly because of the keeping the coils off feature. The coils are evil to the electric bill.

I could only imagine..
I don't have any cooling in my house so it took the Nest about 2 years to pay for itself.
And the ability to monitor the house when Im away is awesome for me because I travel so much. So in the dead of winter when Im driving home from the airport I can just pull out the ole Android and turn the heat up so its nice and cozy when I get home. Love it!

You guys aren't supposed to need much cooling but I think that has changed in the last few years. I don't think it helps near as much with cooling bill, but it makes a huge difference on the heat bill. Here's the website for them. http://venstar.com/
